Is it Safe to buy jackets from us during COVID-19?

Like everyone else, when COVID-19 was announced as a pandemic, I also had my concerns about our online orders that my family place online and receive at our doorstep almost every week or so. The first question that came to my mind was:
Is it Safe to order online during COVID-19 ?
At first, I stopped placing orders and started gathering as much information as I could by referring to CDC and WHO websites. Since the entire world was in a Panic mode, we as a human started stocking everything...from Tissue Rolls to Cleaners and even water bottles. We as a human tend to release our stress by doing what we can to make us feel that we are in control. As someone said " Little Knowledge is a Dangerous Thing", this is exactly what was going on around everyone's brain....we just did not know much about how this virus is actually spreading and how infectious this could be as compared to where we are right now.
As a business owner, we import raw materials from many different countries and simply just cannot avoid touching them. Therefore, we had to understand also if it is safe to touch those materials which are coming from infectious countries and how carrier companies are handling them. As a safety for our employee, our factory was shut for about a month too.
Since now more research is done, experts are finding that virus can  live on surfaces  from three hours to up to three days, depending on the material. (Note that conclusive findings are difficult to come by in these early days of the virus, and as experts continue their study of it, these numbers may change.)

That said, it’s unlikely that COVID-19 would survive on your purchased items from the time they were packed to the time you received your package (especially with the slowdown in the delivery system). And shipping conditions make a tough environment for COVID-19 as well, so it’s not likely you’ll be exposed via the package itself, either.

According to the CDC, “[T]here is likely very low risk of spread from products or packaging that are shipped over a period of days or weeks at ambient temperatures.” The CDC’s statement refers to packages that have been in shipment for at least several days and did not come into contact with any sources of contamination after packaging.

The World Health Organization addresses the concern as well, by saying that it is safe to receive packages from locations with reported COVID-19 cases. From their website: “The likelihood of an infected person contaminating commercial goods is low and the risk of catching the virus that causes COVID-19 from a package that has been moved, traveled, and exposed to different conditions and temperature is also low.”

Now to further ensure our potential customers, we hereby confirm that currently none of our employees and their family members is diagnosed with COVID-19. We follow all WHO safety protocols of cleaning and disinfecting guidelines to keep our facility clean and free from germs.

Furthermore, all our jackets are sprayed with a leather protector at the time of packaging, which has a high concentration of alcohol to kill all the germs in case there is any.

We recommend all our customers to Stay Home and Stay Safe. Wear masks when you really must leave home, maintain social distancing practices and always think before driving out if the trip is necessary.

We pray and hope that this pandemic will be over soon and the colors of life will be restored soon.
